These are not ghost bikes, just an installation of some kind.

Map of cycling routes around Homorod

The roads and the drainage have been improved, but a shared-use path would really help - Rupea and Homorod aren't far apart.

A shared-use path of less than a kilometre would provide a safe link between Homorod and Rupea

New cycle crossing at West Point. The lights are controlled by a sensor in the cycle lane, or by a button (out of frame). This enables a completely safe crossing of this risky junction.

Via Transilvanica markers in the centre of Richiș

I'm not sure why the Via Transilvanica markers are on the direct route from Richiș to Biertan (quiet as it is) when there are parallel paths,

Bridge from the Biertan-Richiș road to an even quieter parallel road.

Mountain biking route from Biertan down into Richiș, marked by blue crosses.

The official mountain biking route from Richiș to Biertan (actually mostly on virtually traffic-free asphalt) continues south for half a mile then doubles back - but there's a short cut to the left here.

  • Icon 192290 Cycleway the length of Bell Road to allowing commuting into town for work, shopping or travelling to school. Very busy road where cars travel too fast.
  • Icon 192289 There is no reason that this wide and smooth path shouldn't be used for bikes, children could cycle to Fulston school and many primary schools by allowing this path to be shared. (I'm referring to the footpath that runs from Core Court Road and around the UK Leisure, behind The Fieldings and then could join to the existing cycleway in Caple Road. This would provide a traffic free route from Core Court Road onwards, even onto Canterbury Road.
  • Icon 192288 Bell Road provides a direct route to schools but it's such a fast road that cycling is actively discouraged. Desperately need a direct and safe route here which will encourage children to cycle to school so less traffic on the roads
  • Icon 192223 There is frequent parking on double yellow lines here which reduces visibility and makes it very dangerous for children crossing the road to get to school. Increase patrol around drop-off time
  • Icon 192222 Parking close to junctions here makes it dangerous for cycle users on the road as cars need to pull out into the road for visibility, where they can hit cyclists. Increase the use of double yellow lines
  • Icon 192221 The cycle path that goes up Thornpark rise runs out here. The pavement is wide and could easily be duel use to avoid interaction between cars and bikes
  • Icon 192200 Walking route needed through the station car park as the path by the back of Kwik Fit is overgrown, not overlooked and dark.
  • Icon 192199 The footpath all along here from the new houses is too narrow and overgrown to walk along as cars speed past.
  • Icon 192198 Footpath needs improving as it makes it hard to safely cross to Macknade and out into the countryside.
  • Icon 192183 Cars are parked on one side at all times. Bottleneck at peak hours as it becomes a one-way road. Please widen this road (from 2 to 3 lanes) or put a double yellow line. A temporary traffic light at peak times would also help. Cars can then get out of this junction safely. Right now, cars must skid and needle through the busy main road traffic from both ways to join it. Accidents are bound to happen.
  • Icon 192160 Timing of signal for cyclists going between Hyde Park/William St is awful. Lots of waiting even when people could go.
  • Icon 192124 Fatal collision Jeep and cyclist. https://twitter.com/allpartycycling/status/1636337483267842050?s=46&t=e9UMi9e1awWS8DPtaVyqlQ https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-64939379 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-52852437
